2021.09.27 21:11 JoReckit New Build in NR200P and sharing temperature and noise results (Vetroo, 5600x, 6660xt, 1080p).

I wanted to share some thoughts on some parts that I choose in this N200P build. Along with some cooling and noise performance results from gaming. I am a beginner at testing and presenting information so don't expect fancy charts just gaming temperatures. Took me a little over 6 hrs. to collect this data. I can post pictures of the build later (had to take GPU out to finish cable managing). If things look off or have overall suggestions feel free to let me know, thanks.
Part List: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/qGZ3ht
-NR200P
-5600X
-ASRock B550M-ITX/ac
-Corsair Vengence RBG Pro SL 16 GB 3600
-Samsung 1TB NVME
- GIGABYTE Radeon RX 6600 XT GAMING OC 8G
-EVGA GM 550W
-Vetroo V5 cpu cooler
-Vetroo 120m fans
-Noctua 120mm slim fans
-LG 24GN650-B 24.0" 1920x1080 144 Hz
I usually start by running Time Spy to get an overview of how hot things can get and what CPU and GPU can boost to. However, I find that just playing games gives me more realistic long-term temperatures and noise results. For this very scientific testing method, I ran Shadow of the Tombraider at 1080p max settings for 2 hrs. (for each test). I monitored temperatures with HWMonitor and the Radeon Software. All tests were done with the glass panel on.
This build is a set it and forget it build for a 14-yr. old so everything besides the memory (which is running xmp profile @ 3600 ) was left on stock. Also, I didn't really see the need for any oc as both the CPU and GPU perform well on stock.
Some notes on parts:
Vetroo fans:
-I am using Vetroo 120mm fans for back intake and top exhaust. These fans perform very well for the price. I found my noise limit to be 70% with these fans and they stay pretty quiet at 60%-65% under gpu full load (forgot to write down Vetroo rmp-will add later when I load into the build os again). I am a noisy freak with a 3-rad rig, and I think these are fairly quiet if that tells you anything. Also, I found that when you have 2 of these fans on the CPU cooler as intake; the second fan starts to make a weird noise. I tried a different Vetroo fan and the same thing occurred.
Noctua slim fans:
-I also used x2 Noctua 120mm slim fans as bottom intake for some of the tests (the GPU is big so I had to use slim fans). I found these fans quite disappointing actually. Perhaps I got some bad ones, but I could not run these over 1,200 rmp because they sounded horrible, and really I had to keep them around 1,000 rmp. I myself have x13 Noctua NF-A12X15 fans in my personal build so I had high expectations. Also, ultimately I found that they were unnecessary and actually got the worst results with them installed.
-Based on the information above I found this fan curve to work well for the Vetroo fans: 30@45C, 55%@60, 65%@70C, 70%@76C, 100%@83C. I didn't think It would be as quiet as it was since I think the curve is a bit on the aggressive side, but I like things to be cool. However, I think it actually worked out well. Fans usually run around 60%-65% when the GPU is at full load and is the nosy is fair.
For the Noctua fans, I just kept them at 50% at all times lol.
6600xt GPU fan curve is set to default and is fairly quiet. Even at 2k rmp is actually not bad.
Test 1: Shadow of Tombraider 1080p @ max settings for 2 hrs.
x 2 Vetroo (on CPU cooler) as back intake, x2 Noctua slim as bottom intake, x2 Vetroo as top exhaust
Results:
-GPU @ full load, CPU 60%-70% load
-Vetroo fans @ 60%-65%, Noctua fans @ 50%, GPU fans @ 1,900-2k rpm
-GPU @ 60C, CPU @ 70C-75C (rare spike of 77C)
-GPU boost to 2575+ Mhz, CPU boost to 4-4.1 GHz
-FPS: Low 100, Avg. 114, High 120+

Test 2 (Best results): Shadow of Tombraider 1080p @ max settings for 2 hrs.
x 1 Vetroo (on CPU cooler) as intake from back, x2 Vetroo as top exhaust, no bottom intake
Results:
-GPU @ full load, CPU 60%-70% load
-Vetroo fans @ 60%-65%, GPU fans @ 1,900k-2.1 rmp
-GPU @ 61C, CPU @ 70C-73C (rare spike of 75C)
-GPU boost to 2575+ Mhz, CPU boost to 4-4.3 GHz
-FPS: FPS Low 100, Avg. 114, High 120+

Test 3 (Worst results): Shadow of Tombraider 1080p @ max settings for 2 hrs.
X2 Vetroo (on CPU cooler) as exhaust to back, x2 Noctua Slim as bottom intake, x2 Vetroo as top exhaust
These results were so bad I didn't bother writing much down. The CPU was hitting 77C-80C after 2 hrs. I think it is due to the bottom fans blowing the hot air from the GPU all over the place and into the CPU. GPU was staying under 60C though, lol.
CONCLUSION:
With my parts, I found the best configuration to be x1 fan on the CPU cooler set as intake from back, x2 fans set as exhaust on top, and no bottom intake fans.
By going from x2 back intake, x2 bottom intake to x1 back intake, and no bottom intake I reduced overall noise, dropped CPU temperature by about 2C, GPU temperature only went up about 1C, and GPU fans only went up 100 rmp. Also, I eliminated that weird noise that the 2nd Vetroo fan would make on the CPU cooler that I mentioned earlier.
I know this is a noob way to present things, but it was pretty fun so I wanted to post it. Hope it helps some people if you are considering some parts on the list.

2021.09.27 21:11 RDX23 Why is male and female not mixed in valorant eSports?

Why don't the men and women team play together in a tournament cause in eSports there is no physical advantage of male so it can be equal right? So why is there defferent league all together for the female rosters?

2021.09.27 21:11 Bobs-N-Vagenes Carrier for SAPI M Long/10x14 ICW plates

Thats not an IOTV/IBA, also needs to have pockets for stand alone 6x6 side plates. Preferably not BALCs, I'd prefer to just get some 10x14 IIIa panels and sit them behind the plates in the plate pockets.
